The Shopsmart app has been updated and is live now!
We’ve made some changes to the user interface and added new features to make your shopping experience even better. This is a complete rewrite and very basic implementation of the previous app.
At present we are only have one feature:
Rewards cards!
But it won't be that way for long.......
So what's new?
Technology
At the time of writing the current app is actually two code bases. It made it very hard to update and truth be told, the app was not updated at all for a very long time. We bit the bullet, and decided to choose a new cross platform technology for the app, Flutter.
Simplicity
The current app has some features that were redundant, confusing and part of the direction that Shopsmart was heading in a long time ago. We are going to ship with one feature at the start and then build it up from there.
Branding
We decided to change the branding and colour scheme. We loved the old design but we felt it didn't really reflect where we want to be. We hope that you like it!
Advertising
We have removed the advertising for now. We will bring this back in future releases.
Conclusion
We hope you enjoy the updated Shopsmart app! With these new changes, we’re confident that you’ll be able to save time and money on all your shopping trips. As we mentioned we are not live just yet... Stay tuned as its not long now!
